SensiNet Distributed Sensor Architecure

Wireless Sensors introduce new distributed sensor architecture

SensiNet’s new LAN architecture places environmental sensors where they’re needed by leveraging existing LAN architecture. Clusters of sensors can be distributed across the building, across the campus or across the world and still retain a single point of integration. Gateways are available as embedded or virtual appliances for optimum flexibility.

The SensiNet BRDG-1221 acts as a “bridge” between clusters of Smart Sensors , Mesh Routers and the Services Gateway. It leverages standard Ethernet cabling allowing a “multi-cluster” network to exist across remote radio spaces yet providing a single point of integration and management of all sensor data. Up to a 100 sensor nodes across 5 BRDG-1221’s can be supported by a single Services Gateway (GWAY-2100).

The BRDG-1221 maintains both primary and secondary connections with other SensiNet devices to assure total reliability and redundancy. The BRDG-1221 and GWAY-2100 are field configurable for IP addressing allowing ease of deployment on corporate LAN’s.

GWAY - 2100The SensiNet® Services Gateway is a powerful appliance providing network management, user interface, data logging, trending, alarming and communications without any complicated software to install. A standard browser and network connection is all that’s required to access and configure the system.

The GWAY-2100 also operates as stand-alone datalogger with real time views, trending and e-mail alerts.
