The Anybus X- DeviceNet Scanner/Master – Ethernet/IP Adapter/Slave Industrial Network Gateway makes it possible to transfer data between DeviceNet network up to an Ethernet network which can be Modbus TCP/ EtherNet/IP or HTTP. The gateway also features CIP message routing between Ethenet/IP and DeviceNet.
The DeviceNet Scanner/adapter has the entire DeviceNet protocol implemented into the interface. In Master/Scanner mode it controls up to 63 DeviceNet slaves. Setup of the DeviceNet network can be done using Anybus NetTool for DeviceNet (included free of charge) or with Rockwell’s RS Networx. Through one of these config tools it is also possible to configure the DeviceNet interface as a Slave/Adapter.
The 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface used in the X-gateway has Modbus TCP & EtherNet/IP functionality for fast exchange of process data. Included with these protocols is an embedded Dynamic webserver supporting SSI scripts & Java applets. It also has an SMTP Email client which can be event triggered with up to 20 pre-defined or custom Emails, and an embedded FTP server using the on-board Flash disk. Added to this is a security function which can be setup for admin/user permissions and multiple configuration methods such as, on-board DIP switches, through the web browser, DHCP, BootP, or ARP
